Artist's Comments

Many sterling leaves and scrolls of vinework and curliques adorn this unique headpiece...something from Lord of the Rings, perhaps!

This is designed to be (obviously) a headpiece but is worn by quite a few brides out there compared to Renaissance event purposes. I really love this one. It looks so much better on a real head...

Thanks! It's a pleasure to make...although quite labor intensive!

How do you manage such realistic leaves? Are the hand carved or cut and engraved?

Thank you kindly! :)

I draw the leaves out, then cut them, then engrave for texture and vein like details...

That's what I figured, look too thin to cast. Bah...I suck at that stuff :p Awesome job.

Thank you! The leaves are made from 22 guage sterling sheet so they could be cast, but it's not worth it really. Not to me. By the time I set the sprues up, bake the investment and pour the silver, I could have cut them out, by hand, in less than one hour vs. 8! :)

The leaves are to die for, as always. What's bothering me, though, is that I can't tell from the photo if the central leaf has a hinge on it or not....
